Scalable Paper Discovery

Altep paper discovery services are fully scalable to handle projects of any size.  We have an excellent team of project managers, imaging specialists and document coders with extensive experience in information and document management, and we’re continually developing tools and processes that enable us to respond to our clients’ discovery challenges more rapidly, more efficiently, and at a lower cost.   To date, we have imaged, OCR’d and coded tens of millions of pages of paper documents - no matter how daunting your requirements may seem, we have highly-trained personnel and proven processes already in place to assist you.  If necessary, we can provide secure, cost-efficient storage space to safeguard your document collection until it has been processed and is ready to be returned. After processing, your documents will be available to you via a secure, searchable web-based document repository.

OCR - Optical Character Recognition

Altep offers OCR service via a proprietary OCR application that far exceeds the accuracy of any off-the-shelf package available today - better than 97% on typical A and B quality document populations. Materials can be processed either as single-page text files or as multi-page text files; additionally, Altep can provide OCR cleanup for documents that fall below a 90% confidence threshold. Our cleanup service includes quality control to 100% accuracy. 

Document Coding

Depending on your requirements, you can choose one of three different methods for document coding: Manual, Synthetic and Hybrid. Manual Coding is done entirely by hand, while Synthetic coding employs best-of-breed software to achieve accurate, automated coding. Hybrid coding is an integration of the two. In most cases, Hybrid coding allows you the best possible results via a combination of speed afforded by the synthetic coding program and the accuracy of our 100% manual quality control process.
